I don't do dabs. I was speaking in terms of making concentrates for edibles. Also, I get the concern, but the boogey man rhetoric is a bit thick. No offense intended

boogey man rhetoric? you think im being a bit paranoid about inhaling solvents? have at it,friend.i like mj to help me mentally/physically,not destroy my lungs and make me more sick.everyone is entitled to make their own decisions.i was speaking about a much bigger pump that i have used and wasnt convinced purged.that pump was a diesel compared to this hamster wheel pump.zoic was right,ive made my point.good luck to all.look forward to the results.:peace:

I guess that could have sounded a bit harsh. Since I am not looking for dabs and primarily want to make edibles and caps I am not too concerned about solvents. I also have interest in making essential oils with other than cannabis. Failing to substantiate was really about the pump. Unless the pump is hermetically sealed there is going to be some leakage somewhere at some point. Yes, I do not expect this to last forever, but for non-commercial use I feel it would serve my purpose. For $900 I have to consider other options as well, but I DO appreciate your input into this discussion.

you dont need a vac to make oil...and its safe an easy and fast...can do half a P in 4 hours...and have up to 40 grams or more of meds to use.
Its simple and safe and easy! No one blows up...never have ...... never will...

if you purposely put in a few drops of water it will make it very tough for the alcohol to light up...and burn...
depends on your comfort level..
butane is quite a bit trickier ....and a whole lot more dangerous.,.

I use a 3 season porch in middle of winter usually to make a big batch...has screen windows on 3 sides...and lots of ventilation
If its minus 25 C that's great,colder the better....except I can hardly take the cold anymore....lol...
30 second wash max at as cold as possible...weed and alcohol frozen and weed crumbled helps ...will keep the color out of it...unless you want the green....
filter well, or carefully and you should have urine colored solution...

no worries my brother from the north.i may have come into this thread a little aggresive.it bothers me to think that a plant we all love,could possibly make us sick because of corp greed/blatant misinformation.fwiw,my intentions were never to insult or attack anyone that might be interested in this product(though i may of?apologies if so) the bho craze has left a bad taste in my mouth and im glad that shit seems to be falling behind a bit.where would we all be if we couldnt discuss thoughts,opinions,experiences?

it was a good one.myself and two friends there for the weekend.one guy smuggled a hit of acid for me(i know,real smart.i had no idea he did it.we were 18.20+ years ago) i ended up dropping it blacked out drunk and came out of my drunk tripping in front of a big ass water fountain in town somewhere,minus my friends lolz

im down gb.i dont drink either.next week marks my 13th year without a drink.life got so much easier once i admitted to myself it wasnt meant for me and just quit.bit of a rocky road at first,but it had to be done.:peace:
