Just double checking, by rain water causing issues, you mean by growing with it? I see time to time RO water users get issues that tap users do not get. I was one of them, city tap was no different if not better.

This thread started out because my runoff was strikingly low .4 ec instead of 1.4 Ec. So was the feeding frequency and volume of feed. I am sure my runoff would be normal like .3-.5 EC higher than inflow if I checked right now.
I wait until issues show in leaves before changing anything but should not have to, was under impression that is how coco is. I know you advocate for runoff, you are one of the few that do.
What could happen in veg that causes any issues with low runoff ec? Why would a flowering plant suddenly stop uptaking food?
Everything is readily available to the plant I thought. Something horribly wrong would have to be happening to not uptake nutes suddenly.

I can't think why a healthy flowering plant would stop taking up nutrients I've never encountered that before?
When you say taking up food you mean the volume?
Low ec in veg i have had when using led in cooler temperatures, it was pretty cool circa 20c iirc and no matter how many times I fed the run off ec was always 50%± down iirc (I've got it noted on Riu somewhere) i ended up throwing in the towel and getting the T5s out, that's the only experience I've had with it.
Oh yeah i remember the thread now, iirc nutrient can't come out less than went in lol

I did have cooler temps on the plants with low run off 3 gallon 70 days veg. They had fishbone leaves.
Was using RO and mother plant feed 1.7ec going in, ph up.
Feeding thoroughly instead of just enough to replace what was lost in volume like I read to do, was obviously the problem.
A RIU user pointed that out already maybe even on this thread.
I had no business using mother plant feed anyway, coco is a whole other level of productivity that buying beans and making large runs was all I had to do for now.
