For those experienced w/ T5 4ft/8bulb.. Quick Question!

Nice Ol Bud

Yeah they do need to be pretty close to the plants to get good flowering results. The light becomes useless after about 8-10" and you want to keep the lights 2-4" from the top of the plant. If you dont you will have stretching and fluffy buds. Genuity are you flowering that many plants in that space under that light? I hope not because it is not enough room and not enough light for all those plants, they will be over crowded and light coverage will be an issue. I can push 8 plants smaller in my setup and that is asking a lot of my lighting to get a good harvest. For than many plants 2 1000 watt HPS is more ideal.
How much do you harvest from your t5? you have a 4ft 8 bulb HO?

No I have 2 3ft T5 HO 4 bulb fixtures on top along with 3 CFL's and a Dark Star LED panel, 1 2 ft T5 HO 4 bulb on the front side of the closet, 2 4 ft T8 lamps and 1 3 ft T5 NO on the back side of the clost and 2 2 ft T5 HO lights on the end. I have the plants surrounded by light. I am going to replace all the tops light with a 4 ft T5 HO 8 bulb fixture nest grow. Last harvest I pulled 1 oz per small plant of dense bomb buds more can be done with larger plants trained correctly. I hope to get 1.5 oz per plant this time but I will now for sure in a few weeks.
Here is an example of too many plants and the light up too high. You can see how over crowded it is and how thin and stretched the plants are. Pics are of my first indoor grow that harvest was only 17 grams per plant of fluffy buds.
