For the alchemists

Everyone doing ponics are always nutrient crazy....everyone's always looking for that perfect balance....the truth is that nutrients only make a healthy plant. Creating a perfect nutrient system isnt going to effect yield.....things that will affect yield are strains. O2. CO2. Light. And depending on the strain. Different trace particles. So before you decide to go crazy with different ph nutrient and snake oil tests. Remember the basics.....Also to truly compare different techniques on yields. I feel you should have at least 5 control plants and 5 test plants......i feel it also depends on in. or sav. heritages for which methods or additives will have best results. Carbs are also something for people to look into if your obsessed with getting the highest yield possible......what are everyones thoughts?

Funny you mention carbs. I have used expired TPN (total parenteral nutrition) for humans and dripped it to plants with an IV line. 15 drops per ml. These solutions are to meet the nutritional needs of people who cannot eat. If they expire (the TPN date or the patient) we take the unused bags (with permission) rather than cut them open and pour them.

Growth can be incredible. Sugars, proteins, amino acids, potassium, phosphorous (rare but . . .) and more! Put the IV line by the base of the plant and drip it slowly down the tap root. If the soil gets soaked I move it but keep it in the root circle.

I fully agree with your test comparison numbers with everything else being equal.

Just today I received my first order ever from Attitude that has been stuck in Bethpage, NY since July. An email to USPS customer service dislodged it.

Anyway it has my Blue Widow seeds. I ordered 10 and will germinate 10. Feminized seed.

I also have Paradise Seeds' Vertigo X 10 feminized as well. Will hatch all 10 there. Will match the lowest number of females for testing and place the others with my general population.

Otherwise these single plant reviews people do are interesting. Not knocking them at all and have learned a lot. But I would never pay a premium price for seed based on single plant grows and would not duplicate the growing methods either.

Yeah i can see how a tpn drip can give a plant more energy to thrive. Do you use it in veg or flowering stage? And have you ever burned a plant using it?
Good luck with the seeds, hope you get a great harvest
