For people that are really interested in 'just add water' organics..

I started using coco recently to get away from peat moss based soils. The peat really takes away from the environment and doesnt help out the plant too much as it dries out.. it kinda chokes the roots. I read up before on using subcool's supersoil recipe and wanted to apply the same concept to coco. I trolled around the internet looking for something like this, and its an emerging product. It was originally tested here on RIU and the guy is trying to make it commercial.

Think about it. Everyone seems very concerned about the difference between the metal chelates in liquid nutrients (for hydro and top feeding) and organic micro-organisms breaking down of the nutrients. This product comes ready to use - not having to make your own 30+ day compost, not requiring any additional additives or nutrients, and can be used from seed to harvest. Coco also speeds up nutrient uptake with the extra aeration it provides over soil.

It is on the pricy side - but not having to pay for additives or bottles of nutrients not to mention the labor of mixing this stuff up and waiting for compost is worth the $45 price tag IMO.

$ 45 for 1.5 cf seems a bit harsh for coco dust and some compost . I make my own mixes and it only costs 12-14 for 2.5 cf depending on the initial price paid for bales ..

No offense but I would rather buy Botanicare Slacker if I was too buy a organic coco mix .

I didnt know Botanicare had such a product.

I looked into this and will be giving them both a shot when my next harvest cycle starts.
