Fool-proof or Foolish? (Transplant Hempy TO DWC)

I have some 3gal hemp's. If I let them chill in a big bucket of water and rinse off the perlite... theoretically I should be able to put them into net pots and into my DWC?

Would that work?

If you can get the roots exposed enough to run at least a few through a couple holes of the netpot so it can uptake, it could work.

it will probably be hard to get all the perlite off but it will work.

I don't see why it wouldn't work...I think it will be more a matter of how little can you stress their roots during the process. But it sounds like it'd work.

It worked! It was hard work! A couple perlite rocks in there still but if they wouldn't come out with me agitating and spraying them, they're not going to come out sitting in the net pot.

They were a droopy after it all, but I would expect that from the transplant stress. Gave them some rooting-nutes and tea to help with the shock.

I couldn't really get the roots through the net pots, but they completely filled the entire net pot. So I upped the water level to just above the bottom of the net pots for now... until some roots make it through.
