I use a full array of different things to foliar feed throughout the grow. I usually start the new clones or seedlings with a shot of fish emulsion before they get feed through the soil. I also, use an amino acid fertilizer that is 5-7-9.5 throught the veg mixed at half strength. Sometimes these also get seaweed extract, cal-mag (just started trying this), molassus, this gives them carbs and when used as a foliar spray helps to increase bud sites. I also throw in some Hydrogen Peroxide 3% solution, this helps the plant much as natural rain does and is great for preventing mold and mildew on your plants.
Foliar feeding in the girls is a great idea to give a few extra things they need. This is not to take place of regular feeding if your soil isn't strong enough, but a boost for them. Never spray in the sun or in windy conditions, this can cause leaf burn. Always start your foliar spray mixtures at a reduced strength over the directions, I start 1/4 and work up. Early morning is the best in my opinion, the leaves are full of energy, the stoma is open to absorb the nutes (they will start to close when the RH is under 60%), once they close it is not a good idea to spray. Night spraying can be risky depending on weather conditions, humidity and such, you want enough time for the leaves to completely dry before night.
Hope this helps and gives you ideas, Good Luck
