Fly's!

So i check on my plants yesterday and things look great.
I have two 4 week olds and four 2 week olds going in the veg room.
I go back in there today and my 4 week olds are COVERED with fly's. Dozens if not 50 flys are covering the plant....it was the strangest thing ive ever seen.

So i pull out the rez and clean it out real good....Thinking the bat shit might have something to do with it. They are not in the medium or the water area but on the actual leaves of the plant.
This is the second round of this strain and it has never happen before.
The flys stick to the 4 week olds and dont touch the other plants.
So i put some fly traps up and it hasnt helped very much.

My room is very clean and i am not sure what the problem is here.

Any suggestions or anyone had this problem before?

i had the same thing last month.there were like 20 so i took a fly swater and went to town playing fly baseball until there were no more i thought it was from watering with brown sugar but could be from the compost i use,or they just like to get stoned either way i'm prepared this time.
there was also a few flys that were stuck to the buds on a plant they must have gotten too stoned and couldnt fly away he he.

So i wake up this morning and they are still there.
This is very strange and i would like to know why they are so attracted to those two plants.
Could it be the particular smell of those plants?
And are they hurting my plants?

I betcha what's happening is that when they get close they get a full dose of CO2 and WHAMMO, dead fly.  I hate flies, especially the ones that bite.
