flushing

First time grower, outside in GH. I have read tons of valuable information on flushing but my question is never addressed.
I want to know the correct time to start a 2 week flush. Should it be right when I see 10% amber or when all the trichs are milky? If I wait until more than 20% amber won't my plants be overripe by the time the 2 week flush is finished?
I have various strains, Blueberry Diesel, Train Wreck, GSC, Bubba Kush, Dark Devil, SOG, Blue Cheese
Thanks in advance for any input!

its really personal preference as to whether or not to flush, its not compulsory....

should you have been growing in 'bottled sewage' then yes flush the plants any time in the last 2 weeks,

avoid re nuting, but many doubt if you notice the difference in taste,

I suggest flushing only half ..to see if you notice anything diff, other than lighter colored ash

By flushing, do you mean running mass amounts of water thru your pots(leaching)
or just using plain water instead of adding nutrients?
A flushing article on my blog will help: https://www.rollitup.org/Journal/Entry/flush-baby-flush.30160/

The article was written for those that may nute burn their plants, the same principle applies,

pour 3x times the volume of the pot thru the rootzone,

best done to allow it to drain over night or in a dim place,

this gives the opportunity for the 02 to reattach itself to the roots

good luck

good question, as people use the term "flushing" for both practices
Indeed they do.. as it is the very same, using water to wash out any excess nutes,

also it takes out any good stuff in the rootzone too, as the plant is soon too harvest the 'good stuff' bacteria,

nematodes, fungi, etc etc is no longer required,

Unfortunately those who mis-read their commercial fert. bottles, and do burn their plants,

loose their abundance of 'good stuff' from their shop bought soils,

or with luck the soil may rebuild itself, lol ..maybe

for this reason its always best to under feed your plants,

but if you feel shit about that ..top up your feeding schedule with a blast of foilar feeding ...it works wonders,

just a note to say there is a method called leaching,

where you leave your plant in a bath of water for 24 hours

to allow the salts to LEECH out, this is not the best idea for cannabis or any plant,

as those roots DO NEED OXYGEN

good luck
