Yeah. Copious amounts of water cause problems.

If your leaves are yellow at harvest your weed will burn smoother, softer and taste better. I don't see many people taking it as far as i do. But I promise you, it makes all the difference.

Some people argue the yield is effected. I always have a plant or two, that for whatever reason do not yellow as much. I don't notice a difference.

These plants are 10 days from harvest, and on track to be where i want, as far as yellow.

You can't see them, but the lower leaves are pretty yellow, but, this green crack plant is doing well.

If you feel your plant will benefit from getting nutes later in flower, then you can use clearex and cut off about 5 days of time needed to feed with water only.

lately i just been running straight water the last 2 weeks. then the couple weeks before that go light on the feedings. leaves turn nice and yellow like they need nutrients. so far it has been working great. haven't tried it in the vape though yet so no promises in flavor as far as that goes. i used to flush 3x the amount of water but theres no way when the time comes will i be able to fit my 6 foot tall over 4 foot wide plant out my door. besides that theres no way im lifting that pot it's in with how fucked up my back is.

I flush....literally...if you look closely, my girl here is sittin on the toilet. She hates when I take her picture when shes on the John.

nice job bro. imo exactly how the leaves should look at that point. i also get some that dont yellow as much as others. i never tried clearx but i've used general hydroponics floraklean and humbolt's royal flush. cant say for sure if i noticed a difference but i still use them anyway. around here we call it a flushing agent.

I personally don't flush. To me, it's all about a really long, smooth, cure.

I've been mixing my drying and curing process for the last little bit.

Drying plants in a gutted armoire that when full is packed with buds, front to back, top to bottom.

No circulating fan, just a very light exhaust fan that is run with a timer and pasive intake on the floor of the armoire. As the buds get dryer, the OFF times get longer and longer. Near the end, the fan kicks on for only 15 minutes, twice a day. At this point it is just curing, not really "drying". The armoire is sealed well with weather stripping, so it is a fairly well sealed environment. The curing process happens while on the branch. It takes a long time, but eventually, the thickest parts of the branches are just as dry as the thinnest branches, center of buds, everything. I like the buds dry that you can snap off each calyx if you want to without any "smush" of buds/calyx. Just snaps off clean. If you have to light a joint more than once, it need to dry longer. IMO.

This way of drying/curing takes about 2-3 wks in the hottest days of summer and about 5 wks in the cooler months. They go to a jar to cure after that, but really, it's good to smoke after coming out of the armoire.

House and Garden adamantly claims that there is no need to flush with their nutrient line. I heard it from the horse's mouth.
