dude, i dont want to fight over this. but please dont knock it till youve tried it.

have you tried it? i bet not.
no i have not tried it and i wont(too stuck to my style) i just want the self reassurance of not having to smoke anything that may contain nutes or unwanted chemicals and only want the best smoke.
that aint so bad is it ?????????.

i agree that a good cure will get rid of most of the chemically taste and harshness that would normally be there... but if there are chemicals in the bud then they will still be there when you dry and cure... so a good flush, even if it doesnt affect the end flavor as much, at least ensures you are smoking left over nutes in the buds...

if you havent tried it then how do you know it will taste chemy, your just going on hearsay.

i consistently have the best smoke anywhere i go, everyone comments on how good it tastes. there are no chems in your plants to flush out to begin with, regardless of what you feed.

wanting the best smoke "aint so bad". but being close-minded about other ways to improve your crop sure is. just give it a try on a single plant. maybe just cut your flush time in half, one week instead of two and see if theres a difference. but untill you try it yourself you have no right to talk of chemy tasting buds.

i dont know i think slik wil may have a point. im only two weeks from harvesting itll be 10 weeks with my pineapple kush, and its my first. im guesssing that the chemicals are molecularized before they produce the bud.I dont think its like nutrients running through the bud, that may be only the stems and the "veins" of the plant. They simply use the elements we so care for, nitrogen potassium etc... But the difference between vegetable farmers and us is that we BURN our product to inhale the fumes. This bud should only contain the end result pushed by the dna of the plant, and not chemicals inside of it, but it is true that synthetic chemicals wil remain in the plant tissue wherever it may be. Same in human beings, pesticides sprayed on our tomatoes are eaten by us, and it remains in our fat tissue forever, possibly causing one of many cancers we are still discovering today.

i agree with slick will on this too. a lot of us are brainwashed by what we read and hear on this site. im sure a lot of us who are learning to grow on this site, see flushing as a pretty common technique among growers, and it becomes cemented in our ideals that flushing is a good thing.

but flushing is actually kinda controversial. youre robbing the plant of nutrients in its final stages of flowering. how do we know that flushing isnt stunting the plant's final growth stages or preventing the plant from producing even more THC in its final days?

i agree lets stay open minded, ill be trying "no-flush" for my next grow

you get to see major bulking up of the buds when theres about 3 weeks left.

exactly, just like tons will say that yellow/dropped leaves in flowering is normal.....WRONG. yellow/dropped leaves in flowering come from a common lack of N in most flowiering formulas. supplement a litle N with your flowering formula and BAM, green, healthy leaves and bigger, halthier buds.

wrong and right... yellowing is normal during flower due to lave of nitrigon cuz there is no or very little N in bloom nutes pending on what kind you go with... so yellow leave during flower is normal at least half way threw flower it is...

In the last few weeks i dont want anything in mine, so ofcourse they are going to yellow out, all normal, and the end product has a nice clean taste, if your pulling plants that still have alot of green leaves it only means one thing, they are still full of nuits, and toking that could give you one mean sore head and a few other things, dont have it green, toke it clean.
FLUSH ! FLUSH ! FLUSH !

FLUSH THEM OUT !!!
