.In this case somebody asked about the practice of "pre-harvest flushing", that's not the same as simply going to a zero-nutrient feed.
You say that going to zero nutrients makes sense and you present a 0 EC reading on the plant sap, which is all fine and dandy for me.
0 EC plant sap does not say much about the quality of the flower. Maybe 1 EC plant sap is just as fine.
Don't get me wrong, I think it's interesting that you measured that, at least you are collecting hard data instead of following some cargo cult. Having said that, I don't see yet what it says about the quality of the product.

I feed right upto 2 days before harvest , I feed every day in coco coir, last 2 days I give them nothing . dont use perlite - I reuse my coco coir so I flush the coco in a 44 gallon drum with holes in the bottom for 3 days using rain water, then let it dry out alittle then re charge with a lite dose of nutrients for the next grow---- I think to much bro crap is promoted by stupid people on you tube/weed tube and so forth and I think its mainly younger people that cant be told

I've never "flushed" perlite... lol.... but then again I don't use it too much.

In my hempy runs ( 100% perlite or vermiculite blend )
Get that white chalky run off out before use.

Ahhh...I see. I haven't tried hempy yet. I got a pretty good amount of perlite just sitting around though. Maybe I'll try it here soon.

try a tomato plant in a hempy. they grow like crazy. i've had some touch my g'house roof at 8ft.

i'd imagine pretty much anything would grow in one . maybe not low water plants like cactus?
but if you've ever seen hydro tomato plants, a hempy is just a small step behind them growth wise. and perlite is a great medium to use in them too.

I think I will try it. For one, I'll learn it with tomatoes, so if I fuck it up, it won't sting as bad... for two, I like me some tomatoes. Lol.... thanks for the tip!

one tip: those 3 ft tall tomato cages won't cut it for long. so plan out a trellis idea before you get going.
and yes, homegrown maters are awesome
