Flushing question

I read on the web site that said not to flush before the Harvest window or bugs could be under right and less potent. But then I read on another website that you are supposed to flush every 4 weeks. Curious about other people's opinions?

The website says this " harvesting a little late gives more potent results and bigger yields so it's imperative to avoid flushing too early"

Keep the flushing in the bathroom not in the grow room. Just give them straight water the last week before harvest. BOOM!....

You misinterpret the meaning of flushing.
The site you read that pro-flushing, isnt speaking of the plant, but the soil/medium.

Try and take a moment and forget about the plant for a minute.

Some growes like to clean their soil/medium on a schedule, so they know exactly what's in it at all times with no salt build up. Of course corporate companies promote this, because it gives them a chance to sell more products, and rip noobies off.

Keep in mind "flushing" does NOT mean starving, ...only cleansing. After you cleans the soil/medium, you return to feeding the soil/medium with the proper nutrients. That's proper flushing..

The plants uptake, throughout its life will change. Some of the nutrients will be uptaken faster than others. The nutrients that are not uptaken will result in buildup.

Realistically, no flushing is ever needed because youve feed your soil/medium in a way that there is no buildup of salts.

Forget what you heard, "flushing" preharvest for cure, is bullshit, and that's what a lot of noobies are teaching other noobies. Block that out of your mind.

"Flushing the plant" is also bullshit, and a misuse of the term.

Learn the proper way to feed your soil/medium.

We here @ RIU are constantly getting noobies asking the same questions, over and over. "Flushing" and "Defoliation" are 2 of the biggest myths we get. If you get a comments you find rude, please dont get offended, as we repeat ourselves constantly, and sometimes we get fed-up. Hopefully this cleared up any confusion.

GL, cheers, and happy growing.
