flushing question

what would work well for dwc flushes, if people are doing this?
store bought hydro flush additives?
concentrated juices?
would molasses work in a flush?
syrups or honeys?

what works and what doesn't, I'm under the ipression that sugars are flavorful carbs and the idea is to exhaust the salts used for flowering and provide some carbs for the buds to swell and taste delicious while slowly killing the plant by starving it of nutrients.

Despite what almost everyone says, the plant will not absorb carbs. One major function of a plant is to produce carbs and then transport them to the root system. Carbs such as molasses are mainly beneficial bc it feeds and helps the microorganisms associated with the roots and soil thrive. I'm not an expert but I do know what I'm talking about, for the most part. Right off hand, I don't personally see how it could affect bud flavor.

hmmmm yeah the plant produces carbohydrates too that is the point of the carbo flush is to promote carbohydrate synthesis using organic carbs in their lowest form, like glucose.
I think you're on to something there, so something like sub culture w/ funghi and bacteria along with molasses would be a good flushing solution.

for flushing, nothing is needed, just water :D now.. to comment on the carbs, it does indeed feed beneficial bacteria that are healthily active in soil applications.. however, if you have used synthetic nutes in your system the microlife normally found in soil will not be there. synthetics kills them off with a quickness. if you want to flush, change the water out completely every day for about 7-10 days before harvest. to judge the time, start changing when about 25% of the hairs are turning yellow... as the saying goes, "if it's yellow, let it mellow. if it's brown, cut it down"

well going by pistils is what you mean? because some plants simply have yellow coloured pistils and others have white or pink, it depends on the strain. If you meant trichomes I know what you you're saying.

I think using gh subculture in conjunction with molasses would work well though, wouldn't you?

if youre nearing harvest time, subculture and molasses would be ineffective... it takes them a little while to get going, so if you havent bought it already, save your money :) well, i was talking about hairs... but since the majority of strains out there have white-yellow-red/brown hairs, i was speaking as a rule of thumb. but now i have to come up with some witty saying for the other hair colors out there.. eh, ill do it when i grow one of em lol

haha yeah. well I am flowering some now but there is always next time. so if I started using sub culture and molasses from day one would my plants be super beefy?
