Flushing Question.

So I’m starting to flush a few outdoor plants growing in HP-Pro Mix (in bags) and was wondering what to do when the weather is too cool to fully dry the pots out? My instinct tells me not to keep watering for the sake of flushing, but to water how I normally would: When the pot is light and the soil is on the dry side.

What if the soil doesnt get dry for 5 days? Do I just keep watering every two days even if it’s not dried out?

thx

I’m not asking if flushing is necessary, let people argue, don’t give a fuck. I’m specifically asking if you do decide to flush, if it matters that your grow medium is very wet for the last 1-2 weeks of late flower.
If your flushing then yes your medium would be pretty wet the last 2 to 3 weeks or 1 or 2 weeks depending how you do it and sadly its a very divisive issue on here so even the mention of the word flush just ends in arguments 9 out of 10 times lol

Gotcha.

I’m actually reconsidering now that I’ve been reading. I’m seeing all out milky trich’s on all of my 50/50 hybrids (Gorilla Glue #4) My sativa dominants are seeing their first amber (Amnesia, Green Crack). Gelato still throwing pistils so I’m still feeding it like crazy. I think I’ll harvest the hybrids after one more plain water, don’t want to miss this window and end up waiting too long. I prefer less couch lock for these. I’ll let my Northern Lights go more amber and be the sleepy time couch lock go-to.

Of course as a noob I planted 5-6 different strains, but holy shit it’s a pain maintaining 5-6 different diets. Would rather deal with 2 kinds abd just worry about different pheno’s!

Its not always so simple as that even from one variety same seed pack and all you could end up with lots of different phenos it depends on genetics what gen of seeds and how much work the breeder has put in stabilising the line obviously something with say 5 strains in its genetic backround will probably have more phenos than say a 2 or 3 strain hybrid tbh most strains we grow now are all polyhybrids or even crosses of two polyhybrids etc il agree with your point you are probably better doing a couple of strains at a time so u can get to know them better and dial em in right if your a newer grower

Flushed this one 4 days ago, a big Ph’d drench. Never dried out fully because of the weather so just decided to pull it instead of waiting forever.
Thinking about a pound yield in this photo. :PJk. I have no idea how much I got here, but I have 7 more where this came from and some are way taller and fatter.

Skywalker OG x Girl Scout Cookie cross. Has a weird name, got it from autoflower.ca, their “in house” product…it was fun to grow, didn’t expect it to be the first one to finish because I actually planted it a 8 days after the others.

And it is our toxicity. Not the plants. Deprive food or rinse a small percentage of recyclable nutes in soil. Hydro and I'm just scoffing. No effect beyond malnutrition.

Better vacuum the nutes out.LMAO.

I stop feeding in ground or soil in pots to prevent waste of my supplies. And then only when the plant begins to mobilize nutes from lower leaves.

Cannibalization is the science. You are only prematurely forcing plant to uptake from own reserves or parts. Nutes are being changed by enzymes in the roots. Plant is not giving back. I've never seen a plant with anus other than its owner type thing.

I think the logic here is if you just get it right from the get go, you won't have to (I don't want to say the word) true the medium. It's how these masters roll.
