If the plant isn't fert burned, it won't have any chemical taste, doesn't matter what brand the nutes are.

Nutes is nutes. There's very little difference between nutrients. The main difference between brands is that larger makers will make larger batches at a time, reducing the variability between jugs of the stuff, as opposed to nutes mixed up by your local hydro shop in their back room. Despite potential variabilities from small batch nute makers, I've seen 'house brand' hydro shop nutes grow perfectly fine plants.

However, the plant's requirements are the plant's requirements, so what's in any complete nutrient will not be terribly different from maker to maker.
I can personally say, without a doubt in my mind, that the Flora Nova in my grow makes a difference in taste. I use clones and I can definately tell the difference now that I switched brands.

what brand do you use now and what do you mean by difference in taste thanks and do you flush
Well, let's see here if I can explain this and still make sense. You know how there are some nugs that don't seem to burn very well, like the ones you wouldn't want to roll up in a joint. These are also usually not very aromatic. They may look and appear dank, but once they burn, the flavor doesn't match it's smell in the bag. Now, I don't know if you've ever been to Jamaica, but they have some of the most aromatic and sweet-tasting stuff that I've ever had... and it's grown in soil. Now, imagine that flavor in hydro. That is what I'm talking about. Many people who use soil think its superior because you can't match the flavor in a hydro system. Well, I know you can not only match it, but if you do it right, it will smell and taste even better than soil. I personally flush almost every time because I guess I am old school. But with that being said, I can hardly tell the difference when I don't flush now that I've switched to a higher quality nutrient (Flora Nova).
