flushing, does it matter?

in a hydro set-up does flushing really help the taste a lot? i have read that some people dont notice the difference at all. just a few opinions would straighten me out.

Try dipping a nice nug in your nutrient water, let it dry and smoke it. You'll probably notice a difference.

man i know someone that never cleans his tank just adds water and uses the most nuts ive ever seen or heard of... and his shit is amazing can even tell he doesnt flush it.........so its questionable in my opinion ive tried it myself and no diff here
