Man this thread is popping off. Just to clarify my idea of flushing is not to remove anything that is already in the plant, I just believe it means lowering content of nutrients in the actual rootzone near end of harvest when the plant is eating less anyways. It's nothing to do with savings, usually when I harvest my rootzone EC is still 1.4-1.6 EC..
I find it interesting most of the companies encouraging you not to flush at all are selling nutrients and recommend a flush right in their feed charts..
My idea of flushing is just feeding the plant until runoff with plain water for a week prior to harvest. I've not done it and noticed no difference positive or negative.. Why keep mixing fertilizer when the plants roots already have 2 EC of available nutrients and you plan to chop the plant and throw the rootball into a hole in your yard?
We need to have a RIU boxing ring with professional refs to keep everything fair. I feel like some of the anti-flushers might pull a blade with how offended they get. Gotta keep
