Ok, I have a strain im currently growing that is a 11-12 week flowering time attached to it. Now does that mean i flower it for 9 weeks with nutes then twoo straight weeks of water and molasses? my plants are in 5 gallon containers and one gallon containers how much water do i give it? should i do one week of flushing or two? I have grown mostly organically this grow? so do i really need a flush??

I flush, always. Every time I water. But I have my homemade superoutdoorsoil and never use nutes. I would go for two straight weeks if you could. You could do the 9 weeks of nutes and a three week flush. The "flush" is not to be confused with the "flush", as in the last 2-3 weeks where you feed plant only water , and the flush to recover from nutrient burn, remove excess minerals/chemicals, etc. Water your plant like normal. I think people just use the flush so they can back off the nutes and let the leaves yellow up. Gotta have the yellow.

depends on the strain and the time it takes to finish but usually i use organic nutrients for 8 weeks and then flush with water for two. but if you have a longer flowering strain, or depending when you started counting, go 9 and then two weeks of water. just be careful with the last couple of waterings for sometimes people water too much towards the end and get the bot

However often you've been feeding them should be the same amount of times you give them straight water. Yes, PH balanced water ONLY for the last two weeks. The idea behind that is to allow the plant to use its stored nutrients thus eliminating most, if not all, of the salty nutrients. This way, when you harvest and toke up, you won't be smoking nasty tasting nutrients. So, instead of adding nutrients to the water, just give it straight water. It's pretty straightforward...

If you want to learn for yourself, try testing the theory out. Flush the majority of your garden but continue feeding (giving nutrients) one plant all the way through. Taste the difference when you go to smoke it. You'll understand why flushing is necessary:leaf:

Is the flushing period considered flowering time aswell? Or does flowering time end when u stop with nutes? Also if u flush for two weeks do u give twice the amount of water that your plant container is? So if ur growing in 5 gallons u give it 10 gallons of water 3 times a week for 2 weeks? My leaves are already showing yellowing at 62 days of flowering, i'm doing a 10-12 week strain.

its more important to dry and cure proper way...one number is dont dry too fast !!!....it take time to dry the bud to let moisture out very slow...in the end, taste is very fanastic ! im pretty sure theres a debate about flush method...try check it out at the nutrient section...or type in the search bar, they will give out the ton of information..its all about your own decision and exprience...its always fun to run the expriement two different plants (same strain) one is flushed and another isnt...you should give it a try :D

+rep for ya

happy growing and peace

No flush? How is your end result? Taste smell wise? Does anyone else not flush?
Flushing is a corrective action unless doing hydro. I never flush, and only use molasses tea right up to chop...that will change your taste for the better.

My bad, GHOPZZ, I thought you were growing hydroponically :wall:

I agree, then, that you should just gradually reduce the amount of nutrients as you approach harvest. But yes, even during flush it'll be considered part of your flowering time:leaf:
