watering with just water the last week, IS NOT flushing/leeching, BTW
How is it not if you're not giving it any, or very little, nutes? sure, it is using the last of it's stored up nutes, but it also does leech waste back into the water. What is it considered then?watering with just water the last week, IS NOT flushing/leeching, BTW
so, an organic grower who uses super soil and never uses anything but water, is flushing the whole grow? How is it not if you're not giving it any, or very little, nutes? sure, it is using the last of it's stored up nutes, but it also does leech waste back into the water. What is it considered then?
I sow soy......Beans FIX N in the soil.....Corn requires lots of N. I shoot poop, NO hydrocarbon based ferts touch my fields,,,ever! The purpose of rotation is, certain crops take up different amounts of nutrient than others
When the field is depleted by corn after time, hay is sown
Hay also leaves different nutrients available in soil at the end of harvest when what's left decays oveer autumn
Doing this varies the nutrients available in the soil, allowing it to recover
Yea I have floral keen and final phaseThre are flushing products you can buy, but, just use de-natured water ( tap water set on for 24 hrs) will work just find
Why would you ph it if it's just water?Exactly! I get the PH correct and 1 week straight water.
So will they still ripen if it's just water in the res?flush away even if it is not rip yet it will use wat ever is left in the plant u dont wanna go pumping nutes into it and f it up better to play it safe then sorry
Water needs to always be PH'd depending on the type of medium. Without proper PH your plants will lockout nutes and growth will stall or slow down. Why would you ph it if it's just water?
Yes. Just not as much as using nutrients. So will they still ripen if it's just water in the res?
I'm hydro thoughI've never once flushed my plants at the end, even after using MG soil. The smoke is never harsh (unless there is leaf) and the ash is always white.
Well I'm hydroWater needs to always be PH'd depending on the type of medium. Without proper PH your plants will lockout nutes and growth will stall or slow down.
Yes. Just not as much as using nutrients.
Water still needs to be PH'd. Unless you have tap that is already proper, but then in your res it can still change for any number of reasons.Well I'm hydro
I love hydro don't get me wrong and its a lot easier to take control if you have an issue, but man do I suck at adding the proper nutrients without burning my plant. LoLQuick tip, if you feed the hydro plants properly, taper off the nutes towards the end (if ppm isn't going down daily it's too high), lower the N in your nute regime, you do not have to flush hydro. There are immobile elements in the plant that will never ever be rid from the plant by any means. You're plants are supposed to be eating what you feed them. Also, when you "flush" the plant goes in to shockand iinstead of those ferts you want to leave, they go to the part of the plant (smallest leaves, buds) , so you're actually sending more nutes into your buds.
I grew a strain that was gifted to me that had GDP and purple voodoo and had a strong grape flavor and the last pineapple express I had tasted like fruit loops. I also love to grow 12/12 from seed, so not sure if it would work better for hydro that way or not? What I wouldn't give to be able to grow anything decent in soil, I'm the opposite and have many problems if given soil in a container. In the ground, it's another story, but I kill most anything in soil indoors lol. In hydro, I just start low with nutes and work my way up. It never fails, start at 250ppm and slowly add 50ppm every 2-3 days, always watching for the ppm to drop a bit. If it's dropping, you can keep raising it. I've had plants top out at 500ppm in flower, but I've had plants like the ones I'm growing now, at 1000ppm in veg. I don't really look at the numbers to judge, just the plants, they'll let you know when they want more nutes.
And I totally agree with the personal preference. Placebo effects are totally real and unexplainable I used to flush a long time ago, but I can't tell the difference, some claim they can, but I think it's just the Placebo effect. The thought of chemicals being in the bud is enough to trick the mind.
