I’m on the tail end of week 9 of flower. The flowering time for this run is 8-9 weeks. I’m running a runtz clone in a 3 gal fabric pot in coco. I’ve been giving ph balanced water for the past week (8 days). It’s been given 3 waterings in this time. My question is because I have dark purple fan leaves (through genetics), will they deteriorate in the same way green leaves do? I.e. do they yellow and lose their colour? The trichomes are looking good with a mix of cloudy and some amber I just don’t want to harvest while there may be nutes still in the plant and get that nasty chemical taste. Thanks for any help in advance.

1. You will never get all the nutes out of a plant ever.
2. Just because a mother finished out in 9 weeks or the seeds say 9 weeks its never gonna take that little of time
3. 3 waterings in 8 days seems very low. My do-si-do that just finished out was drinking 5L every 12 hours if i missed one watering she was drooped all to hell.

1. Does this mean the plant can be harvested while still having fully green/purple fan leaves? Ideally I’d prefer more cloudy coverage than amber for the thc content. My understanding was that the yellowing was the remaining nutes are being used up by the plant as I’m only flushing with water
2. Another week or 1.5 weeks should be the sweet spot then (I’ll keep checking the trichomes)
3. That’s a lot of water for it to be sucking down but fair play. I only water when they droop or just about to droop (I’ve managed to gauge a feel for my plant, i let it tell me what it wants and when) to avoid overwatering

thanks for the advice!

I also don’t want her stressing from being in flower too long and trying to start self pollinating, what’s the max flower time length roughly compared to what the mother/breeder says? So like I said, 8-9 is the proposed flowering so could it be up to 10/11?

I find 12 weeks is a decent sweet spot. Most genetics will have grow journals you can peek at as well to see how long it took others and what they looked like at that point in time. Buds gain weight til either you chop them or they seed generally so cutting feed early most times isn't the best idea or you could lose weight. And yea she vegged a little too long probably i'm gonna check out the roots when i empty the pot i'm pretty sure its near the whole 3 gal pot at this point of pure root.
