fluoro tube grow

new grow room!
in my basement i have a really fucked up room, its like 5 and a half foot tall by like 13 foot long ways and 5 foot accross im going to block off one side with a wooden barrier and a tarp to make things easyer and on one wall im placing a flourecent light ballast that holds 2 40 watt cool lightbulbs
how much will this cost and how low to the plants do i keep them?

im putting like 3-5 plants under these theyr like around 4 foot tubes

Cost all depends on your local grow shop, Home Depot or Lowes. You can go on their site and see exactly what it will cost you.

As for height from your plants, you can keep fluorescents right on them to avoid stretching. They don't produce much, if any heat at all so it won't harm them. Also invest in a thermometer/humidity gauge for your room. Being in a basement you could have great fluctuations in both.
