Does anybody use these?

nope nobody uses thes

why hasn't any one used it and if anyone has how has it been for your vegetive stage

you could use these for veg a they would be effective. but for flower i would not because they are not strong enough nor do they have the red orange spectrum to support budding.

keep them away from the plant tops for them to be effective. and they will just gotta make sure u move it up when they get close to the lights.

if you are confined to space get some warm white CFL's for budding and go from there

the wattage I got is 85 wat/750wt incandecent still not enough?

i actually have heard of people using them. i think you can get decent results too if you have like maybe 2 of them.

apparently there spectrum is a bit off... and much of the light's very bright appearance that we see can't actually be used by the plants. i would expect performance similar to a CFL... but probably not any better watt for watt... and deffinitely only good for vegetative growth/clones.

so if flowering what would you recomend

you should get a hps for flowering

I thought when reading the lumen thing it was enough it said about 9200, I read somewhere that you need between 7500-10000 for veg and 2700 for flowering? I'm guessing I have enough for veg stage what lumen output should I use for flowering

2700 is the color spectrum rating on a warm (red) flourescent bulb used for flowering... you can flower under these, but for the same price as a few of these you could probably get a couple small 150w HPS.

warm white and cool white cfls. two cool white bulb to every four warm white bulbs. the mixed spectrum works nicely. use at the very, very least 100 actual watts of cfls. the more watts the better if you can keep the temp down. peace.

so its higher lumen for the veg stage and lower for the flowering ,okay. So for my veg I'll keep my flourex 85watt/750 wat incandescent and for the flwoering I should be good with at least one 42 watt flo/ 150 incandescent for the flowering? so keep my florex close to the plants and keep my cfl away for them to stretch? NO, put your cfl as close as possible. Put it about 1" away.

LOL, Dude! before you even think of setting all this up you should have learnt about it first.

just get this.
A pot plant needs light, a lot of light so why put them far away in the first place,
always put your light as close as possible, ALWAYS. just always make sure that its not to hot for your plant, put a thermometer just above your plant or your hand and its to hot put the light up more.

Plants need around 10.000 Lumens to grow good, always.
2700K is the meaning for a red spectrum light and has NOTHING to do with Lumens.
light say for example a 28W fluorescent bulb 6400k 1200L
6400k would the the spectrum (blue)
and 1200L would be the amount of light giving away. (1200 Lumens)

so for veg state your gonna need at least 5000lumens (5 of the fluorescent)
since the light lumens add up, but the spectrum stays at 6400K

okay thanks , so my florex emits 5900 lumens so I guess I'll need two of them and what does anyone think about putting in a window fan in there box?I think it might be simpler than installing those cpu fans. Let me know what you guys think

any light that has this word in the description "incandescent" imo is garbage. but you live and you learn. herb and incandescents simply dont mix period. peace.
