How many bulbs? You'll need at least 4 bulbs for one plant, if you want good growth rates. Do you know the color temp of the bulbs? "High UV" tells us it's towards the blue spectrum, but is pretty vague. 6500K is ideal, but lots of other temps will work okay. You'll probably want to take the diffuser off too, as it'll reduce output.

You will need a lot more light than that unit is capable of producing. Save the $14, plan on spending $35 to $50 for high output cfl's and a D.I.Y. fixture. Any ?, give a shout. Good luck & good grow.......BB

about that diffuser (cover) on the fluorescent lites... do you take it off to get more direct/intense lite to the plants or leave it on to...diffuse the light, duh? commonsense question i guess but just wanted to throw it out there. thanks.
