Fluorescent lights question?

Would a good set up for a grow room be 4 double 48" fluorescent lights (exolux 1900 lumes/40 watts a piece), one in each corner of the closet standing straight from the floor to the ceiling?

I think so as long as you can snug them up to the sides of the plant and you need something over head to pound it down

This set up with lights and hoods would cost roughly around $120.00, Not ad for one or two plants huh?
Assuming it would work the way I am thinking.

The Holders I want are 10 bucks and you will need two eco-lux lights by GE they are 10 bucks a piece thats 30 bucks times four is one twenty. I am just wondering if it sounds like it would work before I fork out the one twenty.

i use 2 48" flourecents however the bulbs i use are from ottlite and are 48" tubes that guarentee double the growth in plants when using their tubes instead of other tubes in the same amount of time. There are around 10$ each and are a very nice 2600 Luments @ 40 watts per tube making 10400 Lumens in a 4 pack hood

Don't even waste your time with the long flouro tubes. If anything use CFL's they will work better in all stages of growth.

for flowering also consider ecolux bath (the yellow packaging) they rate at 3000K and 3400 lumens, a mixture of these and the ottlies work great
