I agree i have 5 cfls that are 2700 ks that work great for flowering i also have 2 18 inch blue red flower enhancing tubes i have nice flowers at 10 weeks!!!!!

Hey, I got an 8x8 grow room. Its made just for growing so it has mylar, fans and all that good stuf in it. I just have to figure out the lights now. I'm not an electronic buff or nothing so I need some help. Its the only thing keeping me from producing some nice bud. I was wanting to use all florecent lighting to cut down on electricity. I was wondering what kind I should use that I may be able to pick up at a lowes, home depot or walmart. Ive looked at the ones in lowes but I had no idea what I was looking at to tell you the truth... I can order them but what I realy need is some good advice from a pro. Thx guys

What type of bulb mix do you have? I have 2 GE Kitchen & Bath and 2GE Plant & Aquarium. My transplants are growing about an inch a day with theseTrue BUT you can mix up your bulbs to get a better balanced light for vegging and then switch for flowering.
I have a mixture of bulbs in my fixture for this very reason.

not completely right. it's the LUMENS not the WATTS that is important.

Lowe's has some good 2600, 40 Watts, 150, for about $9.00 Bucks. That is a really big room, mine is only 72" X 24" X 48", I am using 6 of the bubs for a total of 240 Watts. I have a plant in it's 3rd week of bud, and it is starting to ben over from the weight. Good luck, and I know you will do well.
