Fluctuating light cycle durign veg. . .

Will a fluctuating light cycle during vegging cause your plants to go hermie? I've just got 6 seedlings right now and I usually run my lights 18 on 6 off. The 6 hours off is from noon until 6pm. Is it ok to put the seedlings in the window one or two times a week during the dark cycle? I have my grow in my attic and the temps stay around 75-80 max at night, but around 11 am they get close to 100 up there, and still remain in the 90's with lights off so I like to bring them down during that time. In a few weeks the temp will drop and it'll be perfect up there, and it's a lot easier to get heat up there VS cool air.

I don't think it would be the optimal thing to do personally. i would find a way to vent out some of that hot air and maybe introduce some fresh air through some kind of intake.
even if you cant get cold air up there you will still be better off exchanging the air on a constant basis.

bottom line. for me, i don't change the lighting cycle of a plant until its ready to go into flower.

Second opinions, or conflicting experience?

I agree I wouldn't change the lighting schedule as I would think it would cause too much stress. And as you already know those temps are way too high 95 and the plants stops growing. However this is an opinion and only an opinion.

I can't give a definitive answer here, but I'd advise against it. Plants typically don't move when they're planted in the ground, right?
