Flowering week 6, looks like thrips

Well im into week 6 of flowering and Im seeing little white lines and spots all over my fan leaves. Under a 100x scope there looks like little black puddles of oil and the leaves that I couldnt see w/ the naked eye.

I diagnosed my problem as thrips. I bought some blue sticky traps to try and catch the adults, but im afraid to spray my plant this far into flower.

Im mostly postign this just to bitch and vent but any advice will be apriciated.

this works on thrips too..it has pyrethrin....you can use this up to the last week

when you burn a cigarette under the leaves can you see them all flying and retreating into the soil???

has this spray worked?????
