My girls are going strong 6+ weeks fulltime flowering. Should I expect them to flower longer than normal considering the light source? thanks!

Photo's would be useful.
How far away from the lamp are all the bud sites?
Are your plant very horizontal or does it have vertical height? I ask because t5 has such little light output that the drop off rate seems near unworkable.
It would be really good if you would post some pictures and share show us how it's going and what it looks like.

no .....u should expect a lower amount and dencity to the bud then u excepted
this is the drawl back to t5 low heat............if u look around at ppls over all reports and a few of the old growers advice this is what u come up with
Most users of T5 other then shops able to get LEDS ....use CFLs...............since u can get a CFl with in 2 1/2 inches of the plant safely they make the buds much dencer do to the fact they get more engery from the light being this close

Eh bozo, I have a sog going with a week or two left and my buds are rock hard.Also note I am only using a 2 foot 8 bulb system-If you know how to use the light properly you will be very happy......Get your facts.

the facts i gave are correct with the info on the net .........if getting different results then fricken post then let them go into the masses and change the avgs .............but as of now what i said stands as the fact ...............before u insult ppl with names u do your research .......the facts that at hand my statement is true..... and if u are only using a T5 how can u know if they come out dencer or less dence ..........your statement has no value ....u have nothing to compare it too
using it right hahahahah.......hang it turn it on adjust so the light lvls are correct move it up as the plant grows to keep in normal light lvl (a child could do it )

I've been using T5's for some time now and have good results, granted MH and HPS are the best but if you're limited T5 is the way to go, 6500K for veg, 3000K for bloom. here's a pic of an afgan kush ( I believe ), one of 4 seeds that popped, it's 10 weeks in flower, I keep my lights 2 to 4 inces above.

Did you write that down wrong? 3000K is blue right?
Do you mean to say you veg with orange and flower with blue?
Or maybe that was a mix up?

This bulb that's described as "warm white" was something that helped me confuse the two yet again. I was looking at bulbs last night looking in to what spectriums I could get to fit in to an aquarium light and that description and another one really threw me off track.

yeah i followed a dude on here truepunk87 i think his name is. he flowers with t5s and gets absolutely crazy yeilds. i dont think the light source affects flowering time very much (OP's question), as long as you have enough light on your plants they will be happy and give you nice buds. flowering time is more strain/pheno dependent. smoke weed erryday

That's why I asked what shape his grow was. The trick would be to get all the bud sites close to the globes. The t5 definitely delivers enough light point blank- it would be all about getting the shape right so the light doesn't drop off with distance.

I have a HOT5 tent and a LED tent. The led tent consistently harvests 7-10 days sooner, so I doubt hps has anything to do with it, more likely the spectrums
In my HOT5, I use a variety of aquarium bulbs during veg and flower.
During mid-flower on, I use 2-3 UVL Red Lifes or Red Suns (same bulb, name dif for fish v plants) + a 2900 + one Coral Wave + 2 ZooMed Florosuns

My HO T5 grow is producing some really nice dense buds and I am only at the half way point. I run all 6500 in veg which is not very long then in flower I run a mixed spectrum of 3 reds to 1 blue bulb and that has worked out best for me so far. You need to keep the plants short and bushy SCROG style to maximize the light that gets to the top of the plant, tall plants just do produce as well with T5 due the intensity drop off that T5 has. It is a very good idea to add some side lighting and even under lighting when using T5 that way you get out light coverage. Pics of my T5 grow as of today.
You can see in the second pic how I train that plant to stay short and bushy. It also helps that they are Indica dom. I have 3 other plants that stretched a bunch because they are more Sativa dom. 
These ones are 6-8 inches taller that my Indicas.

I am SO SORRY I threw this question out there and didn't get back to ya'll, had some unexpected visitors come in from out of town and have been super swamped. Here are the awaited pics!! remember this is week 6 flowering. The one on the end is the smaller plant that is about a week behind the other.
