it is NOT a hermaphrodite.
it's a male.
the things you see that look like they might be pistils are new leaf tips and stipules. the plant is getting larger, and new growth is larger than previously, as the step and node is larger than the ones below.
no pistils, just leaves and testicles. it's a male, and the reason that is good news is because you can collect the pollen to use to make more seeds later. if it's a strong healthy plant, it would make a good father for hardiness.
or you could just trash it because it's a male. i would.
