Flowering trouble

I made the mistake of thinking molasses could sustain my baby through flowering.. I was wrong.
2 weeks into flowering and at this point a good percentage of her fan leaves have died or are dying and she looks very unhappy...
Ive been told and believe that its a nutrient def..
so does anyone have any suggestions for cheap bloom nutes, preferably a homemade brew.
I also have some compost but Im not sure how I could utilize it for bloom, any help will be greatly appreciated.

I think you may can find some recipies through a search, but what i would do is try to save a few bucks and go buy some kind of nute. Nutes go by n-p-k. if your in flowering you want something that says something like 10-15-10, or 10-30-20. those are the ratios i use. hope the info helps.

You need P of NPk
molasses is just an additive not really a fert on its own.
check out ohsogreens thread on homebrew organic teas.
you can even use your compost.
i use guano and molasses. high p indonesien bat gauno 1-12-1 and molasses has on average 1-0-5. so at 1 tablespoon of each per gallon i have a 2-12-5 organic flowering fert.

What organic fert should you use during veg?Can I use molasses and guano threw whole plant life cycle?

during veg you can brew a tea with fresh guano, which is high nitrogen.
I dont think most people start molasses until 2 weeks prior to expected start of flowering.
you got to check out the thread titled making tea is ez and cheap by ohsogreen.
its near the top of the organics page always.

Jomo&thesmoothies Molasses is not enough to carry you through flowering. It's OK in veg growth and as a tonic during flowering, but it just does not have enough P. I think most of the brands you get at walmart run like 4-1-2 NPK, mixing one oz to one gal of water.
You need P and since your plant is suffering, you don't have time for stuff that will take a while to break down. Bat Guano Tea is a great quick fix, mix one heaped up tablespoon to a gal of water. Use one gal per plant every 5 days until your ladies look better. I would also recommend you get some BMO Flower Power : see Blue Mountain Organics Update Thread by Greensurfer, my reply has a link and a lovely pic of what the stuff can do.
All natural growing is great, but you got to give the girl what she needs, regardless of the source. That thread by Ohsogreen Making Tea is EZ is a good read, check it out. That ole' coot, knows his shit.

hey guys! question quick! I have 6 plants in DWC veggin' currently.. im ready to switch to flower but unsure about nutes.. I have technaflora/BC nutes. BC grow, boost and bloom. Should i switch from veg nutes directly to flowering nutes? or wait a little until flowering is a little in progress.

also ive been using veg nutes at 1/3 strength... should i start flowering with 1/4 strength flowering nutes? or whats a strength reccomended?

When I see a possible nute issue during flower, I hit it with Schultz Plant Food +.
It's a liquid formulated for every watering usage, 10-30-10. This would be the only time during the entire grow that I turn to this old friend I met in the 70's, growing.
Around $6 for 8z's at Ace/TV hardware.

Nlmw..... I've always found it works best, to ease from one stage of growth to another. (overlap) When your ladies are 8 weeks old (or have vegged as much as you want), drop the veg nutes to half strength & add half strength flowering nutes. Then at next feeding, drop down to 1/4 strength veg nute and up the flowering nutes to 3/4 strength. Then the next feeding, drop the veg nutes even more & up the flowering nutes. (provided your flowering nutes have some N ) If they don't, keep adding a low dose (N of 1 or 2) until the dance is almost over.
.
I've never had anyone prove to me, that the No N thing works better. It doesn't. Mary still needs a little N in flowering, but a lot more P. That's why flowering ferts always have a higher P number in the NPK value.
.
Hope this helps...

you should try some rock phosphate, i can't push this product enough :) it's 100% natural and mined from the earth, the P rating in mine 25! it's also 100% water soluble which means it will get to your root zone asap.

it also really cheap.
