Use ultraviolet light if you can for maybe 5 hours a day with your already exhisting lights/s.... Ultraviolet light is harmful to plants and Marijuana ups it's resin production in defense of that light coming through.... Some people have used black lights and some say reptile lights are the best.... And when you finish, leave the plants in the dark for about 48 hours before you cut them..... Don't doubt it, just trust it

rubbing them dosen't hurt them...I think she likes it when I rub on her....lol anyway I stand behind my last statement gently rubbing stem makes the plant think its under attack and the glands are for defense as far as the plants is concerned not to get us high :) I don't condone anything to stress the plants as that just slows growth

Plants don't 'think', they respond.. Rubbing the stem damages the exterior cells, and they fatten when they reform.. Its not much different than using fan power to strengthen the stems..
BTW, brown sugar is just white sugar with a touch of molasses still in it.. Essentially you're carb-loading when you add that.. I'm not certain, but I think more complex molasses components would be better than all the extra sucrose..

Its a pretty popular practise the molasses.. My next grow I'm going to try brew store suppliments rather than molasses.. I know they aid yeast and bacterial growth over molasses alone, and thats actually the goal.. The carbs feed symbiotic organisms near the roots, not the plants per se..

the brown sugar thing is the same as adding molasses to your grow to help fatten buds. It has been PROVEN that molasses does fatten up buds, Jorge shows that in his book with two buds compared to each other, one with molasses and one without, the one with gained 20% size than the one without.

do you use brown sugar at the start of flower or all the way through veg? how often? can you use it with ferts??

Honestly, I just eyeballed it when I used molasses aiming at more like a teaspoon/litre.. I don't think concentration is that much of a worry.. Molasses has way higher concentrations of the more complex stuff, BS has more sucrose.. I really don't know what eats what.. In fermentation, yeast (similar to soil protozoa) eat the complex stuff, and only resort to converting sugar to alcohol to obtain oxygen since fermentation happens in an otherwise anaerobic environment..

Ok, take a small needle and any kind of thread you think will wick well, and while the plant is young enough and stock is still semi soft but not too young, run that needle with thread, through the base of the stock and drop the other end of the thread into whatever fruit or liquid type flavoring you like, just has to be water based enough for the thread to wick....... Pick your flavor.......... If you doubt it, just try it, then you let me know

Intriguing.. I personally doubt it would affect flavor directly, but it is a cool twist on stress training.. I wonder if anything that otherwise could not travel up the xylem, can actually make the trip that way..
