Flowering Too Early !!

Hey everyone.

I’ve got some plants flowering way early.
I live in the Southern Hemisphere and started my seeds off October 1st and put them outside on the 12th October. They were in solo cups to begin with then transplanted them to 5 gallon fabric pots. I started them well into spring so am surprised that they have flowered.

My question is firstly what causes this? I live in very hot place. Temps of up to 110 degrees Fahrenheit but average about 94-97 degrees in summer. I try put my plants in semi shade. Could heat cause them to flower early?

Secondly what do I do now? Do I give flowering nutes? Or just leave it? I thought perhaps it would revel but it doesn’t look like it and we’re pretty much in the middle of summer.

Have just transplanted to bigger pots.
The strains are Dinafem Critical + & Critical + 2.0.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Temps have nothing to do with start of flower. It's the length of night that triggers it. Some strains are touchier than others. I had two plants early flower at the end of May last year {in NW Florida} They both finished. What usually happens is when the days get longer, they will reveg. But it's only 21 days until the Summer Solstice for you. If they are flowering that hard, they might keep on keeping on.

What kind of light hours did you have them on before going outdoors? Too big a change will trigger some strains.

That’s prob it. I had them under 20/4 lighting under a mars hydro led. I’m not too worried if they keep flowering. Just wondering what to do with nutrients. Got them in a blend with coco peat, potting soil, vermicompost, perlite, vermiculite and a small amount of Epsom salts and bonemeal chucked in. Prob totally wrong but I have limited resources here so went on some educated guesswork.

Next time lose an hour a week until you are at natural light hours. {not like this tune}


What I do with nutes assuming 8-9 week flower. 1st 3 weeks continue with veg food. 2nd 3 weeks mix veg and flower food 50/50. Last three weeks all flower food.
