Flowering Times on Seed Bank Sites

All,

Are the flowering times on seedbank sites from sow or from clone? They seem so long. I'm thinking mmany strains are 7 weeks from clone.

Neither. They are from flower. Why would they advertise a flowering time from clone if they are selling you seeds?

Hardly any seeds are 7 weekers. From your post, you don't want to hear this, but growing cannabis typically takes months and months.

Many strains will be 2-3 months just for the flowering, let alone the potential week for germination, then sprouting, then vegging, then maturing enough to flower. Sounds like growing might not be for you. I've seen people with strains that flowered for 6 months.

Totally agree on the phenotype comment. Even if you find a strain listed as 6 weeks it will likely require growing several out to find the pheno first. Most early strains are 7-8 weeks.
Also, the breeders are assuming optimal conditions. If subpar lighting for example is used it will extend flower times.
Auto strains will finish faster but most are less potent and the yields are lower. Never grown an auto myself but you might look into it if speed from seed is your goal.

Growing is for me for sure. I love it! I was just looking to get confirmation since I've heard varying opinions. Thanks for the feedback.

Just did a Critical grow of 6 plants, two were done at 57 days, three at 60, and last one was 65. I think they were listed at 60 days. The whole grow was 85 days from seed. Im a fast and furious grower lol. Get em in and out lol

if a strain is listed at 8 weeks flowering, i will go an extra week. usually the flowering times listed is the earliest you may want to harvest and the potency window of around 2 weeks for an indica, gives you an 8-10 week flowering.

most phenos should be done in that time but there are exceptions. i start the count as soon as i switch to 12/12 but the plants are always mature enough that they respond to the switch quite fast.

idk seems ceeds or the clones of the ceeds still flower for the same amount of time. imo

all good replies above.
