Flowering time.

Ey guys i have 3 plants growing 1 is still pretty small but getting bigger and wider...other one is really thin but long and one plant is bigger and more wide "like 3 feet i think"....all of them are growing outside for like 2 months now or maybe even more.
I was wondering if the plant size matters if it wants to flower?...and when the flowering actually starts...its possible that marijuana plants can be late? or wont flower on time at all?
I live in canada right now and its pretty close to america "New Brunswick"
I know that my plants are kinda slow but would they still flower on time even if their small? and at what time is the plant suposed to know when it should flower? In September? Keep in mind that this is canada lol thanx guys

Your plant can be put to flower as soon as it has five nodal branches (12"). The plant will flower either when the daylight is shorter than night or if the plant is a auto flower breed.

But its an outdoor plant man, i can't control the lights for that....Do you know around what time the flowering would be in a place like Northern america and canada?

How tall is she? Do you want to flower her now? She will flower during the Fall.

I hope its even a she dude....i saw white pistills...but somehow a couple of weeks later i couldnt spot them anymore "only on the top part of the plant"...it almost looks like some of those white pistills died...any of you guys know how that is possible?

its possible that the white hairs got burned from the sun and turned brown.or you thought that the stipules where the female flower cuz they do look like white hairs at first but as the plant grows the stipules (however u spell it) will get bigger and greener and wont look like white hairs . not sayin u made this mistake im just sayin that this is a common mistake of 1st time growers.pics would be helpful tho:peace:

Kushking...i might have made that mistake yeah....i thought those white pistils indicate the sex of the plant?.....is it normal for those white pistils go green and dissapear?...i hope my plants are still female at this point lol....but yeah i dont know about canada where im living right now...im not sure if my plant started to flower yet and its already aug....also im a first time grower so i have lots to learn :P

find out when the sun rises and sets and only leave them outside for 12 hours. that is if you are growing them in pots. otherwise you could put something over them at night. but that can damage plants. best bet is to wait it out.

I'm in Washington and the flowering cycle will begin in the first week of September.

I have a feeling my plant will start going into full flower in late August / very early Sept....

I intended on harvesting in early october but this would only give the plant 4-5 weeks to flower.

How long does the flowering period take before the buds will be ready?

canada has a very bulllshit winter its too cold here and too long...i just hope my plant will be done before winter hits...also wb456...it says that it begins to flower 5 september...isnt that a bit late? :P

you could try to forc flower it by covering it for a couple hours before dark.
6 to 10 days of that and you can let mother nature take over.
Im in Oregon and all my girls are flowering

I think I might have the same problem as Hyper my Lat. isn't much different than his. They mention covering the plants mine are 6foot+ and would be hard to cover . Do you have to cover the whole plant . The threat of mid Sept. frost has me worried .

Yeah i was also wondering how i could best cover my outdoor plant to force it to flower, any tricks?...66 north...you live in canada too? my plants are like 3 or 4 foot :P kinda slow but owell if i get weed from it then its all good

Want to update that i took a look today and noticed my biggest plant is starting to show signs of flowering...its making white pistils everywhere n stuff :D

Hey Hyper I live in southwestern ontario and always wonder when things will happen (flowering). Ya our winters hit early and usually stay late but things will work out. They will bulk up quick and I advise not to cover your plants unless frost is coming. Leave them out until the heavy frost hits but that shouldn't be until late October. I have 9 girls out in the bush ( Lifesaver and Cindy 99 cross) and have some great luck. These are typical of long flowering, not the best for Canada, but things turn for the better. I spray them with mist water early morning before the sun hits them if there is a light frost. Just go as long as you can naturally. Once they start to flower it won't take long.
