so this is first timer outdoors an my plants are nothing crazy, about 3.5ft tall an top and tied down.. they growing like crazy and just sprouting white hairs.

BUT, all my indoor grows after about 1.5 weeks of initiating flower the white hairs are all over place and small buds forming... whereas, outside ive had literally like more than week of flowering stretch growth and white hairs showing but not bud formation yet.

i know it will come but just curious as to why it seems i may have more than 2 weeks of stretching growth just because the plants outside?

im not complaining cause i will take all growth i can get. rather just wondering why it works this way outside and not inside?

I'm just speculating here but maybe because the day lenght changes so slowly outdoors. In doors you have that sudden change from 18/6 to 12/12. Outdoors each day is a little shorter but 12/12 doesn't really happen till like late September in most areas. I could see that having an effect on the flowering hormones. I don't know for sure though. I've never done indoor to compare.

hahahaha it doesn't seem fair does it? that's usually how it is though - indoor is almost always faster... I don't know where you are, but if it gets cool at night, that's enough to slow them down. inside, unless yer room sucks, it never gets that cool when the lights go off. the plant is able to carry on its functions unimpeded. when plants get cold, they kind of slow down and wait for it to warm up again before they resume "activity". oh and lets not forget that your days are getting ever shorter, whereas your indoor days shine beautifully and consistently 12 hours at a time! I'm sure there are other factors at play too but I think tempy is the major one. now, if you do a light dep in the middle of summer, and assuming it's not getting below around 60 at night, that weed will perform just like (better, really!) than it would inside.

Damn, yeah idk why its getting cold now at night... usually have until mid october before the morning moisture and stuff comes.

i just got a greenhouse for them an im going to put a fan inside it pushing air around hope it helps with the moisture.
