Flowering stage

When does the flowering stage start? When you switch lights to 12/12 or when you actually start to see flowers start to form? Trying to figure out what week I am in flowering.

Unless it's an auto flower you won't see flowering with lights on veg cycle. Sometimes males will start to show "balls" at about 4-5 weeks and females show tiny preflowers about 5-7 weeks. Although not always. Google how to sex a cannabis plant. Very easy to follow guides there to help you Id the plants sex. Otherwise flip lights to 12/12 and wait. Should see flowers starting to develop 3-7 days later.

Flowering starts about 1-2 weeks after switching to 1212
I always talk in terms of weeks from switch to 1212 though... as long as you specify.
10-12 weeks from switch to harvest usually
8-10 weeks from official start of flower to harvest (typical indica)

Sounds good Bogwort but as always there are factors that influence when flowering starts. I flowered my last batch at only 2 weeks old and 5 inches tall (limited vertical space). It took 3+ weeks before any female flowers showed (batch is all female). I guess it means that the plants need to mature a bit before they flower just like most biological entities including people have to age a bit before reproducing.
