Flowering Stage Questions

Good Evening,

Can you put your plant under 12/12 lighting to determine the sex, then return to veg? Or is it best to continue on with the flowering stage?

Also, once plant has started to flower, is it still important to continue with "Complete Darknesss" through the entire flowering stage?

The Best way I heard to determine the sex is to take a clipping or a clone and 12/12 it.

Try to keep it in darkness, I thought about this issue, there is full moon light in the natural world so I dont know for certain, but a bit of light sneaking in doesn't seem like it could cause it to reveg. (I DO NOT KNOW THIS AS FACT)

im no pro but ive always been told that light seepage is NOT good. as far as starting 12/12 then trying to go back to veg doesn't sound lik a great idea to me but again im a noob when it comes to indoor growing. im sure an OG will jump in with some solid advice on the matter

Yes you can do it, but using a cutting would be better...

There shouldn't be any lights on during the dark cycle.

The complete darkness at night is important in flowering. Alittle bit of light sneaking through (tv, computer screen light) definitely won't cause it to re-veg (mimics moonlight) but it might cause it to hermie if it's too much for too long.

but as said before, it'd be best to take a clone or two, root them, and sex the plant like that.

Re-vegging causes alot of stress on the plant (which is why it grows back with 1 bladed fan leaves)
when you flip to 12/12 you want that shit on 12/12 through harvest. re-vegging should be used as plan Z (only if you MUST)

if you can't cut any clones then just switch it to 12/12 when veg is over, if it turns out male then start over, if it's female then grow that shit out.
