Flowering & Rain

Ey up!

Quick q, have my babe OG Kush , outdoor from seed May 01.
About 5 weeks in flower now, I'm eager to see her pack weight!

Weather (UK) is on the turn here, so been rain 3-4 days week and looking similar for another week at least. Wondered how this will effect flowering i.e slow? Less weight at harvest?...

She seems to be going, but going slow!

Here she is 7 days ago.
Flowers are more bushy/hairy now, but I'm a little concerned she's slowing down

Advice, suggestions and guidance most welcome!

I have the ability to shield my outdoor crops from rain. I personally don't like my buds getting soaked with rain unless the next day is hot enough to fully dry them out. I would shake the plant a bit and get as much of the heavy water off, weighs down the branches. Like to get the bud as dry as possible.

Yeah I was too quick to diagnose as flowering (eager!)
Excellent thanks for the advices, there's a nice spot that seems to stay dry even in really stormy downpours, will move her there when we're looking to have constant rain.

Gotta find a tough strain, the last 2-3 weeks make or break most outdoor grows. Even if ya cover up all your plants, the fog-humidity-moisture can destroy those fat colas.
this for sure. just had a thunderstorm and rain come down last night; but everyone looks ok for the most part. def some strains that do really well ; and some that i would not run outdoor again. if the sun comes out next day i dont tend to worry; but if next day overcast and humid; it def gets scary; getting the leaf blower out is not unheard of lol.

True that! lol. Can be just as expensive too lol.. i guess the only benefit is they can't talk back at you or give you attitude.
Irie :)
PS love your profile image.
Yeah I've tried to keep costs down, idylic idea, to keep it as clean and organic as possible! My first proper grow, certain I'll be learning more and tweaking as I continue. Organic liquid seaweed has been really good for me. Biggest learn is to be preventative to problems (spesh with our cruddy UK weather - warm n moist summer ) bugs and what have you.

Have to say literally feeling the stress and anxiety. Fortunately, I had a dream last night, that she got super frosty and every time she moved with the wind swirls of frost expelled in every direction!!

Gota do all the de-stressing , mindfulness and leaving it to the universe to bring me the harvest that had been pre-determined... :)))

:peace:

Mini greenhouse and dehumidifier if you want to go the full length till harvest time. My girl got bigger than I thought so I built a house around her. Best of luck man she will be nice smoke.

Update, sorry no pics!
Got mesef a little tomato greenhouse with open front for a rain shield :) stress levels under control!!
She's starting to bud up and slightly frost now :)
One or two ill looking budlets, have marked them, if they stay bad or get worse will get rid.
From what I've read from RIU, seems to be losing lots of fans, stripping herself back, efforts on main bud bearing branches now. About 12 main branches with budlets forming along them, fingers toes n everything thing else crossed!
Cut back on nutes, just molasses every other day now.
Tidy!
