flowering plants don,t smell?

I have 2 plants that are 2- 2 1/2 weeks into flowering and they don,t smell at all. They have plenty of grape sized white flowers and look awesome, but no smell even close up. I built a charcoal filter and have been waiting to use it when the smell got too strong, but so far, nothing. Does that mean anything growth wise, other than I,m lucky.

The smell should start to kick in sometime soon as the buds develop further. Try rubbing a fan leaf between your fingers. This should give you an idea of the smell to come...

I like to roll (squeeze) a bud in between my thumb and finger. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh that's the stuff.

Some plants just don't smell. I have several bag seed plants this year and I have a few that have very little odor even right now nearing the end of its life.

My first grow, the bagseed plants, they didn't smell until like week 12, and even then it wasn't strong, and i had to shake the branches to get the smell out of the buds. The BlackJack i have going now, started the stink around week 4, and has been getting stronger and stronger with each passing week so far.

So my guess, is its entirely dependent on both strain and maturity. give it some time, i bet some scent will start coming out soon =D

Yeah strain is definitely a big factor more than anything else I think. I have heard using fish emulsion in your watering mix will help with that stink smell LOL but there are some strains that will just have a light smell to them, nothing crazy.

someone mentioned that some plants don't smell in flowering...I think its fair to take that a step further and say that MOST plants do not, at least in my environment produce an odor which is very strong....the drying process is the real stinky part not so much the growing, my smeller is not that good however so please consider that

Id say 1 in 10 have a strong smell really...a lot depends on the strain...In my experience the smelly one are the best perhaps because of increased terpine production?
