hello i have a small outdoor med grow the plants are a few different strains that had been under 24hours light indoors. they have been outdoors for 2 weeks and are flowering. in my area the daylight hours now on apr18th are 13.10 on the apr25th 13.20 on apr29 13.30 may29th 14.15 june29th 14.25 july29th 13.55 aug29th 12.58 sep29th 11.55 anyways my question to knowledgeable outdoor growers is at what point will most strains revert to veg as i would like to finish flowering some of them how much time do i have before flowering stops? and another question some of my clones are to small to produce any reasonable amount of buds if i leave them outside flowering will they revert to reveg at 14 hours daylight or should i move them under some cfls indoors for a month or so under 18 hours of light until the days are 14 plus hours and then put them back outside to properly flower? the larger plants i plan on letting flower even if i have to move them inside at night to keep daylight less than 13 hours for them but my small plants will yield nothing now so i need to grow them larger again should i leave them outside to reveg eventually or bring them in under 18 hours for a few weeks and put them back out when days are longer. im concerned if i let them reveg outside they wont recover before fall and will produce poorly . any answers would be helpful as ive mostly done indoor grows:peace:

Leave them outside they will re~vert back to the vegging period.Differant matter for the clones i would get them back inside and get them up to a foot or so.

i know theyll revert to veg at some point. but at how many hours of light will they stop flowering and revert to veg does anybody know. as i would like to finish them i have also heard revegged plants are weaker and never really recover there previous vigor.

the 2 big ones i think ill have to move into the garage to limit light hours and finish flowering them. by covering what would you use as im concerned they would cook if i cover them and how dark do you have to make it?

they wont cook if u put em in 5 pm bring em out 5 am or something like that and u can cover it with a black trash bag u dont even have to bring it un the garage the trashbag should be sufficient enough to not let any light in

man it was hot today 95 in the valley where i am the clones are fine though. im just gonna move them daily a pain but a few are to far into flower to reveg and then flower again in a couple months. 2 small hells angel ogs im just going to put under some cfls for 18 hours a day until the days are at least 14+ hours long and then there are 2 more an og and gdp im going to leave outside and see what happens but im debating putting them under cfls also. i wont make this mistake again what a pain in the ass.

the trash bag would be easier than moving them but on days like today i think they would cook maybe ill test it on 1 plant.

in case the plants i have get too screwed up from flowering/revegging. im germing some of my own fem seed creations which are pre98 bubba crossed to larry og kush and pre98 bubba crossed to blue dream. hopefully they should be good and ready by fall. thanks kush king for that farmers almanac really helpful i did not know there is such a small vegetative window in socal most of the year the days are 12 hours or less never thought about it until now.

my friend did the same thing.

I should have looked right on my high times calender and it says that everyone is going to be starting about right now, we put his out a month ago, so they started to flower but are now reverting and they will be GIANT by the time harvest comes around at the end of the year.

same here bicycle, and i think i may have put mine out early, but a wiser experienced grower (gramps) has told me not to worry about it, it will keep growing all into summer.since i only have one plant at the moment, and have to wait till october/november for harvest, im thinking about getting another clone, and trying two for my first time. i dont think it will be that much more costly/ or difficult to put one more plant outside haha, plus it may be double the harvest!

i just put out a tahoe og clone i won in a raffle its hard to find this clone if it flowers i will be pissed. i want to grow it big first so i get a good harvest in fall the days are about 13hrs 35mins any thoughts or advice? the other larger plants were to far in flower i have begun covering with trash bags to finish there flowering cycle and i sprouted some seeds also so one way or another i will have some big girls for fall. what a pain never again will i put plants out in april without supplemental light.

have you ever sat down and put a trash bag over your head in the light? I have. A lot of light gets in.

Yeah...I'm in SoCal and the same thing happened.

I put 5 out in mid April and every single one went to flower after about a month. I have a Durban Poison that is just a few weeks from harvest. She's small but looks great :hump: I'm gonna harvest off the vine so to speak and reveg her.

I'm from up North and when I visit up there in the late summer I'm shocked how much longer the daylight sticks around. It's at least an additional hour. We have better weather in SoCal but they have better light cycles. In the late summer it can stay somewhat light out up in Lake County until past 8:30pm. WTF?

Next years outdoor grow will veg indoors till mid to late May.

FYI- My one Sativa looks like she's back to veg after flowering a bit.

the tahoe was flowering now its reverting to veg i had been spraying with ga and silver to make some s-1's but forget it now as it has to be flowering for that to be effective. what a nightmare to have to figure this out the hard way i have some sprouts vegging on a 14 hour light cycle so when i put them out no more early flowering. its hard buying clones as most are vegged under 18 hours or more so for now i will use seeds until i have a bigger veg area for larger plants.
