ok so i am currently flowering 8 plants in a basement under a 1000w watt hps with a cooltube and xxxl reflector hood with 180w of cfl lighting in back corners... 33days from flip20160617_112719[1].jpg 20160617_112737[1].jpg 20160617_112740[1].jpg 20160617_112852[1].jpg 20160617_112908[1].jpg 20160617_112905[1].jpg 20160617_112959[1].jpg 20160617_134430[1].jpg 20160617_134459[1].jpg , im getting more and more worried about lumens and light escaping and how it will effect my yeild and density. i have 600w hps that will be arriving tommorow im going to add to the front of my plants pulling them all closer to the lights...mostl;y all of the plants are no more then 6 inches away from the edges of my hood.distance between hood lights and plants are 12-14 inches ...temps are at 82 degrees lights on ,65 degrees at lights off...rh is 70% at night, 63% during lights on.i have 4 home made co2 generators ( 2L to 1L ) sugar and activated yeast set ups running into my canopy which im not sure is helping but is definitley not hurting... now i have always veggwed in open rooms but have3 never flowered outside of my 4x4 grow box so im really nervous about this... has anyone had a successful flower with dense nugs and atleast a 1lb harvest in an open area... is 1600w plus the 180w cfls an over kill ....im thinking no due to the amount of light escaping.,.... the room is black at night no light and odor is no issue...i have nice siZe colas ranging from 6-18 inch colas so far but seem a little airy although no swelling has occured yet just nice bud sites.... vegged 7weeks maybe 8 and topped a couple times .. training was minimal , i did lollipop at weeks 3 and 4 over the last feew days have been defoliating ..

This looks a bit excessive on the lolipop. You might want to flower sooner next time. The buds look good I would try to keep the humidity at 50%. I've never used cfls like that, so I cant give any advice. My concern would be is it safe? Can your electrical box handle more power? If so add away. I have a friend that's an electrician, I'm pretty sure he said you should use 6 gauge wire and you can't have more than 1400 watts on one a breaker. otherwise you might start melting outlets and burn your house down.

If you're concerned about light leaks, get in with your plants at lights out. Sit in the dark at least 20 minutes for your eyes to adjust.

I think more training or even a scrog would be the alternate to shorter flower I really didn't expect a 3 foot stretch caught me off guard I only planned on getting to the top of my 4 foot side walls....plan on running 2 seperat breakers as a blow breakers if I run any higher then 75% on 2 1000w HP's

Light leaks were controlled I'm mor concerned with density and light escaping since its not reflected and contained ...thank u much for taking a look and I may hold off on the 600w hps I can't afford no fires...

You should have each one of those 1000w on its own breaker with six gauge wire. Be safe, I need to go to bed.

They look good to me? If your worried about light loss, then get a sheet of something white and block the side.

I'm tapped at the moment also higher walls would mean higher heat since it wont escape as easily or do u thing the 430 cfm fan running to the cooltube would be enough to stop a dramatic change in My area
