Flower to sex then reveg?

Is it ok to go on a 12/12 schedule. To get it to preflower the slap it back into reveg? Ive read mixed opinions. On it.
Some say flowering then revegging could add 8 weeks to a grow.
Thanks

How about you take a cutting and root a clone, put that into 12/12, and see what sex it is, rather than stressing your plant like that.
Yes that seems like a much better idea.
I was just doing more reading up on it and I might just keep it in veg until it preflowers. I read that I should see preflowers by week 6 in veg stage? I'm not sure if it's true.
I was going to sex it to pull clones but I'm going to let it veg another week or 2 then pull cuttings and flower 1 of them in another room.

I vegged my plant for 4 weeks(28 days), flipped to 12/12, and it took another 9 days before my sativa showed sex. So yeah, 6 weeks is definitely a fair estimate. Could be as soon as the third through fifth weeks too, though. Your plan sounds good though. Next time you should buy feminized seeds, or plant multiple seeds so you aren't putting all of your cards on a possible male.

I started with 3 and 1 has already shown male parts. 1 of the 2 that are left is a very small runt but growing slow.
This other 1 I'm hoping is female is growing good.
I'm going to be ordering feminized seeds and a tent in a few weeks.
I just started these to see if I can get a good female from the seeds i had on hand.
I'm still trying to figure out if I should order from OES or midweek.

Take a clone, leave the light on the clones for the first 48 hour till they stop wilting then put them on 12/12 off,and you will get the sex just has fast but with out stressing the plant out,Just put a cardboard box over them, has long has its light tight,un-less you have a place you can put them that wont be opened to let light in,

yeah its just always seemed like a lot of unnecessary stress to me, asking for hermies. i can usually see what a plant is way before its time to put it into flower, although there are always the resistant ones that don't want to show you shit. i just stick them in the flower room when they're ready and keep a good eye on them till they do show. as long as you're looking daily you should easily be able to catch and remove males.

@Aby55 All you need to do is wait. When they become sexually mature they show their sex in Veg. It is best to wait to flower until they are showing.

I started with 3 random bag seeds and I shit you not I had the EXACT situation as you. One male, one runt, and a female. So weird. The male showed sex before female, at about 5 weeks so I tossed it. The runt ended up being a herm so I tossed it, then the plant that I put the most time and effort into ended up being the female that I have now. I hope it turns out the same for you! good luck!

that's what I'm hoping. the seeds where from a friend and I'm not sure if they are all from the same bag but they seem to be.
the male had at least 5 preflowers before week 3 of veg so I'm hoping that this 1 that's left is not showing preflowers because it's female.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure males show earlier in general, so I think you have a good chance of that last one being a female.

I took a cutting earlier today. Im going to see if it roots.
Ive read some are harder to clone.
Its very indica dominant so im hoping i can clone it.
I cut a 2 liter bottle in half and used half to keep my clone humid and moist.
