Never remove water (fan) leaves, they are the main factories of the plant, unless as said you're looking for small yields.

Tuck them leaves out of the way (of buds) if you must. Many fan leaves will give up the ghost in the next few weeks anyway. So no need to remove them now. And as mentioned, these are the plant's solar panels and you don't wanna unplug yer plant yet, do ya? :eyesmoke: Well do ya!

She's lookin' purty :weed: Good luck Trooper :peace:

Hey man,

yeah I'm not suprised your asking this what with the defoliation threads and lollipopping etc. It is always best to keep it simple, and if it's not broke don't look for a fix. Plenty a grower has impatiently deformed there plants in this manner (myself included) in hopes of Massive buds, only to find growth stop. The form of defoliation called lollipopping, which is basically removing the bottom six inches to a foot of the plant is considered okay because it redirects focus to the top buds, thus slightly increasing yield and providing much bigger cola's and less popcorn. Also removing small branches that won't amount to much anyway can also help to increase bud size and potential yield depending on the size of the plant. However sometimes it's best to leave the damn plant be to do what it's meant to do, like in regards to the fanleafs.
