Flower time

Alright, so this is my baby after about a month of being in my care. I got her at about 4 inches...she now stands 15 inches tall. (She averages about 2 inch. a day). I have very limited grow space and am concerned about when to flower. As this is my first grow, I'm both eager and frightened of the oncoming challenges... I know she can triple in size thru blossoming and that's about all the room I have. I just cloned her today, in case something goes wrong.
I'm gonna put her in 12/12...but I'm not quite sure how to block the light 100%. I'm doing this all in my closet and I have three other plants that are only about two weeks old. I was thinking just put her in a big cardboard box in my tub for the 12 in darkness, then moving her back into the closet for the other 12 in light.

Should I start flowering nutes before the time change? Should I give her 24 hours of dark before going 12/12? Thanks in advance for any input offered.

Just try putting it in another cupboard, but you'll have to do it religiously. Just find a cupboard that's big enough for it. Climb into the cupboard and see if it leaks any light. If is does, make a plan to seal it off. You'll have to do something for ventilation as well.

if your concerned about the height issue you can top now before flower or you could also try and tie it down. In my opinion 100% darkness is not needed, i have an outdoor plant that gets hit with patches of light throughout the night and she's in week 6 of flowering (very nice bud progression). good luck and i hope i have been of some help

Alright. And is it best to water her before going into darkness every night? Or will that keep the soil too moist?
Another question....
I want to know if my smaller plants are male or female. Was thinking of cloning and putting clones into 12/12 light. Do they need to be a certain size before I slice a leaf to do this?

i'd say top it and find a way to fasten hooks to the side of the planter, i used duck tape to hold them (i used a wire hanger and pliers to make the hooks) in place and a hot glue gun to secure them. my space is also very limited so i topped them and begun tying them down. i'm doing it slowly but my goal is to be able to get them be no more than 3 ft high. before tying it was about 10-11 inches, now it's about 6-7ish.... i'm just going to continue gently tying it down to keep it as low as possible, trying nt to overstress the poor thing.... and pray it works... :P

i fastened them to the side of the planter because I move my plants to a closet for the dark period, and back to the grow box... just like you...this was the way I figured to tie my plants and be able to move them at the same time... here are the pics, not the prettiest lookin thing but it works

Easy mate! Water when your soil is dry!

You need branches to create clones, not leaves!

Lol, fair enough. Looks like I got a week or two til then. But I think I'll keep the big un' going til this weekend. Maybe by then I can seal off a piece of my closet and create a make-shift BloomBox. I am concerned about ventilation now though. Ugh!
