Flower prices falling

Enjoy it while you can make it, folks. We have people from out-of-state coming to CO to haul units back to wherever it is they live....$1000 a pound for the best of the best...if you get in early.

And yeah...prices are dropping on all fronts. The $60 grams of shitter/wax/dry resin we first saw in the shops at the onset of the law changing are now hovering around $30 a g.

Full circle here....back to growing for personal and to keep folks I know out of the shops. Be safe folks.

Anybody that actually relies on selling marijuana for a living is in for a very, very rough ride. It's only going to get worse.

Used to, it was against the law to sell ANYTHING drug related ANYWHERE.

Now, laws are getting laxer and laxer, and law enforcement is starting to see pot as acceptable so long as it's just you growing your shit just for you. They literally do not care anymore, so everybody is jumping on the band wagon and growing their own.

Seriously: Why on earth would you pay 500 dollars for an ounce of good shit when you can grow a pound of it for half that on an initial setup and after that for about 20 dollars.

If you're selling pot for a living, you're going to need to find a new line of work within the next 8 to 10 years, because you're going to go broke.

Still high retail in NV.
$12-$17 a gram retail.
Some deals for $30 an 1/8.

Pretty looking but lacking depth and knock out punch we're all used to with our home grows. Tourists don't care though so prices may stay high for a bit more.
You could get top quality in Oregon for $30 an 1/8 before recreational was even legal.

I'm surprised more people aren't road tripping out this direction, actually
Because it's illegal as hell. I would hate to be made an example like this guy from Oregon that just got 8 years in a Mississippi prison after getting caught with three pounds of weed. Some of us don't need the money that bad and are not going to risk our freedom to make a few bucks. If anyone from a legal state does make a run to a non-legal state you would be advised to rent a car that doesn't have Oregon, Colorado, or California plates. Especially Oregon since the massive glut of marijuana has been on the national news. You can get pulled over just because you're from Oregon. You can argue about the legalities of the stop in court after you've already been sitting in some filthy jail for a year.

Oregon Rastafarian's medical marijuana earns him 8-year prison sentence in Mississippi

In Oregon, he might have faced a civil fine for possessing too much marijuana at one time. But it was a different story in Madison County, where he was arrested and charged with trafficking in a controlled substance, an offense with a maximum sentence of 40 years in prison.

xtsho,

Agreed. I was talking about medical peeps, but I totally get what you're saying. No need to risk prison time :( And people can always visit to smoke.....

The feds are watching.

Feds: 'Vast' Oregon Marijuana Trafficking Schemes Prompt 6 Arrests
Federal prosecutors in Oregon on Wednesday announced charges against six people involving two “vast” interstate trafficking operations that delivered marijuana to Texas, Virginia and Florida.

Proceeds from the black market sales returned to Oregon as cash stuffed in airplane luggage or through the U.S. mail, said U.S. Attorney for Oregon Billy J. Williams.

In one case, the marijuana was grown in Portland and distributed in Houston, Texas and Virginia. In the second case, the marijuana was grown in Hood River and sent to Florida, according to court documents.

As of June, there were nearly 1 million pounds (450,000 kilograms) of “usable flower” in the system, and an additional 350,000 pounds (159,000 kilograms) of marijuana extracts, edibles and tinctures.

Been doing it for 40+ years off and on. I have no worries around getting rid of it and unless the quality of the dispensaries go way up, I doubt I'll every have to worry about it in my lifetime.
