Flower PPM needs

started feeding GH at 1/2 strength and plants are doing great - about 21days into the flip and everything looks like it would had I been feeding full strength.

My question is
Since I'm feeding 1/2strength my ppm is around 600-650, is that sufficient? Should I bump up to 850ppm. Usually I'm at 900-1200ppm during flower.

Growing RDWC and coco if that changes suggestions from anyone.

TIA!

If they are staying nice and green I would continue feeding them what is making them grow healthy and happy. Different plants require different levels of nutrients. I've run lots of plants at 600-700 ppm and they grew amazing bud. I've also ran plants that happily wanted 1100-1200ppm you just have to read the plants.

Also more nutrients do not equal bigger buds. A healthy plant grown in a proper environment still has genetic limits on how it will grow. Our goal should be to allow it the ability to reach its full genetic potential. Some plants don't grow giant buds, some plants don't produce many trichomes, some plants are tall some are short, you get what I'm saying. So adding more nutrients to a healthy plant opens the risk putting the plant into lockout and shocking it. Then you may end up with lower yield instead of higher.

Most feed charts have people overfeeding. I never go much over 800 ppm. I also never have nutrient issues caused by overfeeding and nutrient buildups that can lead to antagonism and lockouts of some nutrients. I believe that a good majority of issues people have is from feeding too much. Take Fox Farms for instance. If you use their products and follow their feed chart they have you feeding 2.0 ec at week 2 of veg. I never go higher than that throughout the entire grow. Their chart also has people flushing every few weeks to get rid of the excess they have been telling people to feed. It's ridiculous. Probably one of the reasons so many people post post pictures of crispy fried plants with all kinds of issues after following that damn chart.

Not so sure about those charts

Totally different than before... Like way different

All that N in bloom is wayyyyyyyy toooooooo much

Yea i used these charts for about 2 weeks last run and it really started effing with my flowers - quickly remedied the issues by switching back to the old feed charts.

I never had a problem with Lucas formula or Floranova for the last 20 years.. Those new charts are the new path to failure unless you have some stout hungry plants.
