Flourescent Spectrum for 12/12 from seedling

I'm looking at doing a 12/12 from seedling SOG, and at the moment it looks like T5's are gonna be my best option. My question is, given that I'm trying to force flower as soon as possible, and I'm more worried about bud size than plant size, what kind of spectrum would I want on the T5's (6500K vs 3000K)?

Would I be safe going all 3000's for the sake of buds? Or would there be some problem with this during veg (which they inevitably have to go through, for however short a time)? Maybe a mix? Half 3000's half 6500's?

Any help is much appreciated. :bigjoint:

there's no "problems" using either exclusively. If you already have the tubes you just start out with the 6500k and switch out some (half) to 3000K. I know a buddy who grew with 6 6500K & 2 3000K and had great plants, short bushy beauties.

Definitely use the 6500k for starts, but after the first 4 weeks (when they should have all just started their flowering phase) i'd suggest switching to 3000k. The more you switch to 3000k after that first month, the better it'll be. But if you can't afford extra bulbs, i'd say go 50/50.

In case anyone find this and is interested (ignoring the misspelling of "fluorescent"), I'm going to go with the 6500's at first because there seem to be people indicating that to use 3000's during the veg will likely cause some stretching, which I want to avoid given the SOG.

If I can afford more later I'll switch to 3000's upon flowering.
