So, I started to LST yesterday, and she's looking great! Her leaves have even started to uncurl from the heat issues I had a while ago.

Here's a pic from yesterday. I'll post one from today in a little bit.

And here she is just about 30 minutes ago.

After about 6 hours she was looking right up towards the light after I LSTed her. She's strong and can take a lot it looks like. I think she's going to turn out well (I really hope it's a she...)

Here are a few pics.

Here's my thoughts:
it looks like your using Scotts brand soil? I know it's good to give cannabis plants lots of aeration, and in soil this means bring on the perilite, when you transplant, I'd consider that, and maybe another soil choice.... as well as some pots that allow drainage, plants sitting stagnant in there own water is a bad thing, I can't see the bottom of those pots, but if there's no way to let them drain that could hurt you.
How hot did it have to get to hurt your little gal like that? I'm sure she'll bounce back, God made these little plants quite the fighters. I'll find out the joys of LSTing very soon when a couple of my primarily sativa gals start getting a touch bigger...
as for growing outdoors, hell yes, that's the only way I've ever done it, up until now that is. Outdoors in FL, no sir. Can't say i've ever done that before, not that I would be opposed to it, but with the heat and the bugs and the fuzz, I think I might honestly rather just fight the heat indoors like I am now! :) Give me a good spot outside and I'll cover it in green fast then you can say johnny appleseed though!

For soil I'm using Ace brand, from Ace hardware - it's the only soil I could find in town that didn't come with time release nutes.

You're right about the perlite. I keep reading about it virtually EVERYWHERE.

With the pot, it didn't come with holes in the bottom, which I didn't realize was bad at first. Then she got overwatered and realized how harmful it could be, so I made some irrigation holes in the bottom and since then she's been fine with water.

The temps in the box have gotten upwards of 90F, maybe higher, that's when I checked my temps and realized I needed to bring the box into an AC'd room instead of the little room between the house and garage. Her leaves are really uncurling today, and that makes me really happy that she's bouncing back. Glad I didn't hurt her too badly. :)

Regarding outdoors - I'm sure you could find this anywhere, but out near Titusville there's SO much unused land that could easily be used for growing. Whenever I drive by on the highway I see mile after mile of land that's just covered in foliage with nothing around... A cow field here and there, but other than that, virtually nothing.

Hey I just wanted to throw you Florida guys a bone.. I was down visiting some friends and family and I stumbled into some new hydro store in Broward called The Healthy Harvest... My friend found the add on craigslist and we went in to get some clonex and ended up leaving with a bunch of shit. Buddy was cool as hell and hooked it up disgustingly. Ebbngro 12 site (retail $575) for $385, Magnum XXXL for $180 (retail $269), Quantum digital ballast for $185, and hortilux bulb for $70. And he hooked us up with a bunch of good free samples, bloombastic, greatwhite, HG roots excelurator etc and even gave us an orchid lol.. I am in no way affiliated with them and I don't even know if he would appreciate me writing this post on rui but I just wanted to let you guys know where the hookup is. He is cool as hell and has bomb prices. Just giving credit where credit is due. I feel sorry for all you guys paying retail. I'm across the country and I might order my shit through him from now on... just don't like giving out my CC or getting stuff mailed but shit for the prices I just might..:peace:

WeSmkDro, holly hell man, that's what its all about dude. Absolutely beautiful plants you have there, I'll be checkin out your style and taking notes dude. I can't tell you how cool it would be to be one of your long time childhood friends or someone along those lines. If I had a buddy doin it like that..... ahh damn, ahh damn... that's all I can say.

Nice airpots too! I've been eye balling those things and looking at getting a few, so you really think you can tell that large of a difference before and after you started using them?

Purrrple, I'm gonna go look the fella up now, another place I've found with incredible prices if your on the east coast is htgsupply.com, they have a few locations but I know one of the first was in Melbourne. The dude had one there and one up north, and in the last two years I think he's either started to open, or has now totally finished opening like 3 more locations along the east coast. Pretty clear that growing cannabis is really turning into a popular hobby! :)
I still remember opening up my first 400watt light I ordered from them, low and behold, waiting patiently for me in the bottom of the large box was a little lighter with a bottle opener built into it with the htg logo on it.... unpacking that box and finding that was just like an episode of an old-timey tv show that ends with everyone sitting around the table with a smile on their face shaking their head... no one saying a word, but everyone being on the same page all at once.... he didn't need to say it, and I didn't need to tell him, anyone who didn't know wouldn't have thought a thing about it, but if you knew, and I knew, then not a word was needed, everything was understood... i felt like they were a head shop selling me that incredible piece of glass I'd been eying for so long, just winking at me while they handed my new "tobacco pipe" to me from across the counter... ;)
