Damn alot of talk bout pre flower but I agree with gypsy because every time I see my pre flowers im like yea started budding. But I prefer to grow outdoors. Jorge Cervantes said natural sunlight cannot be emulated by grow lights.

Hey there all you lovely florida people :)
I'm a brit heading off to florida on holiday in a couple of days, anything I should know? How much does it cost/what do they call it around your parts? I've heard weed's quite expensive in the US - one figure I've heard is $60/eigth. (It's only £20 and eigth here, ie about $30)

yeah it can cost 20 to 120 for a quarter for the guy who wanted to know. so even though its preflower and its outside when can i predict when the flowering will start? well i guess i can wait for it to start budding lol. i was just wondering cuz theres new growth comming in on it and no alternating nodes. but for it to be ready im mid october like i was told it would have to be flowering now? someone straighten me out plz

yeah 20 dollars for a quarter is mexican dirt regs but you pay 120 for a quarter it will be some sort of hydro. to be honest the hydro a few years ago was bright green and purple and red hairs and looked so pretty you almost wouldnt want to smoke it cuz it was so pretty. the dro i been getting lately have been bagweed grown hydroponically. to be honest the dro lately has let me down. its been good weed though dont get me wrong but its not what i expected

yeah brick is about 25 a quarter. imagine worst than that for 20 a quarter. i try to spend 40 a quarter cuz its usually good enough to be satisfying and it doesnt break the bank.

Bud rot has alot to do with bud structure, and blueberry is dense indica, no airflow gets in there+ florida humidity and rain=bud rot.

Indoors or outdoors a plant will start flowering when the photoperiod is condusive to it...

We use 12/12 as a hard number indoors... and I am sure that is just a ball park figure..

The same outside... until the Sun sttarts to set for a "X" amount of hours.. (close to 12/12 I imagine) the plant will veg...

It will start flowering when there is enough DARKNESS...

and outdoor crops usually take 10~12 weeks in flower.. so yeah.. it's getting close....

How many hours of Sun/dark do you have now?

Where I am, up in Alaska, the Sun just started setting.. we're getting about 2~3 hours of dark now... by the time 12/12 hits there is already frost and snow happening...

About ALL I can do outside is veg...:-?

you guys are lucky...

but yeah.. your plant will start flowering when the "critical" amount of darkness happens... which can vary with strain...;-)

yeah i think its on its way cuz this morning i looked at it and it showed more hairs this morning. i think its safe to say in the next week or two it will start alternating nodes and start to show bud sites. unless im wrong

alot of times if u have bud rot it will be a web worm that cause it.sometimes the worm will be so tiny u can hardly see it. where u see the bud rot take ur fingers and spread the bud a part start looking were the dead bud meets the good bud look very slowly and u should find the culprit. that little worm starts eating the bud close to the stem so u usually dont catch it untill the outer bud starts to turn colors then by that time the dead part of the bud are rotting and holding more dampness and we have bud rot. this is not something i read in a book.this is what i learned from growing outside in florida for quite afew years. check it out it u may be having the same problem.
